Knowing God Through His Word

If You Want to Know God, Learn What He Has Said

Many believers ask:

“What is God’s will for my life?”

But before asking what God wants us to do in one particular situation, we need to know what God has already told us in His Word. Scripture teaches us who God is, what He loves, what He hates, what He commands, what pleases Him, and how He calls His people to live. If we want to know God, we must become familiar with what He has said.

Romans 12:2 KJV

“And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Before asking, “What is God’s will for this decision?”

Ask, “What has God already said?”

Knowing His Word Changes How We Think

God’s Word renews our minds and teaches us His ways. Our thoughts, feelings, experiences, and desires are not the standard. We bring them under the truth of Scripture. We should become familiar with the whole counsel of God, from Genesis to Revelation, asking the Holy Spirit for understanding and obeying what God makes clear.

Practical Questions
1. WHAT HAS GOD SAID?

Is there a clear command or principle in Scripture?

2. WHAT DOES THIS SHOW ME ABOUT GOD?

What am I learning about His character and His ways?

3. WHAT NEEDS TO CHANGE IN ME?

Am I leaning on my own understanding or allowing His Word to renew my mind?

4. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Is there something God has already made clear that I need to obey?

KNOW HIS WORD. KNOW HIS WAYS. DO HIS WILL.

Your Walk With God Is Personal

God is not confined to a building. Through Jesus Christ, He dwells with and within His people by His Spirit, making your walk with God a reality that reaches into every aspect of your everyday life.

True intimacy begins with communication and commitment. Read His Word and speak with Him daily in prayer, returning to the Scriptures continually to align your heart with His divine will and truth.

Deep knowledge and understanding of God’s Word lead directly to a vibrant relationship. This relationship naturally produces obedience, and obedience matures into a life of constant, sincere worship.

As you abide in Him, you are transformed by the renewing of your mind, becoming a living testimony of His grace and a doer of the Word in every situation you face.
